Going w/ two hitters to have solid days today in Milwaukee’s Willy Adames & Houston’s Jose Altuve!

Willy Adames gets arguablythe best matchup on the afternoon slate againstthe RHP Zach Thompson of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Zach Thompson comes into this game with a 5.33 ERA & 1.54 WHIP and has been worse against RHB’s, allowing them to post a .307 AVG, .461 SLG %, & .821 OPS. Adames has shown plenty of power this season with 26 HR’s and has been better vs. RHP, posting a .482 SLG % & .776 OPS. Adames has had plenty of success against Thompson i his career, posting a .556 AVG (5 for 9) and I expect a solid game by him today.

Jose Altuve once again is having a solid season leading off for the Houston Astros and has a nice matchup against the LHP Martin Perez. Perez has been surprisingly effective this season (I’m a Red Sox fan and can’t believe the production he has had after watching the past few seasons…haha), however, this is still a pitcher that can struggle against RHB’s. Altuve has crushed LHP’s this season to the tune of a .306 AVG, .657 SLG %, & 1.038 OPS and has plenty experience against Perez as he is hitting .294 in 51 AB’s against the left-hander.
