This week, the LPGA Tour travels to California for the 2022 JTBC Classic.
Before I discuss my favorite tournament matchup bets for this week’s LPGA Tour event let’s take a look at the current leaders in scoring average that are in this week’s 2022 JTBC Classic.
Top Five Golfers in Scoring Average
- Jin Young Ko 67.75
- Danielle Kang 68.25
- Hannah Green 68.37
- Hyo Joo Kim 68.50
- Xiyu Lin 68.73
Now that we have determined who the top five golfers with regard to scoring average are on the LPGA Tour (in this week’s field) let’s shift our attention to my favorite tournament matchup bets for this week’s 2022 JTBC Classic.
Here are three golfers to consider placing on your card to finish in the top ten.
Xiyu Lin +200
Since the beginning of January, Xiyu Lin has played four tournaments on the LPGA Tour. In those four events just mentioned, Lin has accumulated three top 11 finishes, including a second place result at the 2022 Honda LPGA Thailand two weeks ago.
Lin also checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. Xiyu Lin is currently ranked tenth in GIR (greens in regulation-78.15%) and seventh in putts per GIR (1.69) on the LPGA Tour.
Amy Yang +250
The 32 year old South Korean arrives at this week’s 2022 JTBC Classic in rather good form. Let me be more specific. Yang has accumulated two consecutive top six finishes on the LPGA Tour, including a sixth place result at the 2022 HSBC Women’s World Championship earlier this month.
It should also be noted that Yang finished 12th at the 2021 JTBC Classic.
Danielle Kang +175
Danielle Kang has played four tournaments since January. In those four events just mentioned, Kang has accumulated four top nine finishes, including a win at the 2022 Tournament Of Champions.
I also like the fact that Kang has performed well at this week’s LPGA Tour event previously. Danielle Kang finished seventh at the 2021 JTBC Classic.
