Doosan Bears vs. NC Dinos – 8/28/20 KBO Baseball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

2020-08-28 05:30:00 EDT

The NC Dinos and Doosan Bears meet Friday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action at the Changwon NC Park.

The NC Dinos need a win after losing 13 of their last 23 games. The NC Dinos have scored five or more runs in 29 of their last 48 games. In their last effort, Na Sung-bum and Park Suk-min combined for three hits and four RBI while Song Myung-gi allowed two runs and eight hits in five innings of work. The NC Dinos have won 28 of their last 50 games overall. Kim Jin-ho gets the ball tonight for the NC Dinos.

The Doosan Bears look for a victory after losing 14 of their last 28 games. The Doosan Bears offense has produced five or more runs in 26 of their last 45 games. In their last effort, Jose Fernandez and Kim Jae-hwan combined for five hits and two RBI while Lee Seung-jin allowed seven runs and nine hits in 3.1 innings of work. The Doosan Bears have won 34 of their last 55 games overall. Yu Hui-kwan gets the ball tonight for the Doosan Bears.

The Doosan Bears and NC Dinos have split the last eight meetings down the middle. Ten of the last 11 meetings between the Dinos and Bears have produced double-digit run totals.

Kim Jin-ho has a 4.91 ERA and 1.77 WHIP this season through 7.1 innings, and he has seven walks to go with seven strikeouts. Yu Hui-kwan has a 4.95 ERA and 1.71 WHIP this season through 96.1 innings, and he’s allowed a combined four earned runs in his last three starts. The Doosan Bears have the pitching edge when you consider Hui-kwan has been doing this at a larger sample size and he’s had some of his better starts recently. However, the NC Dinos appear to have righted the ship over the last week and remain the best team in baseball. The NC Dinos are also a team we’re not used to getting at plus money, so there’s usually value when you find them at this price.

I have to side with the NC Dinos and the favorable price.
