Kiwoom Heroes vs. Lotte Giants – 8/28/20 KBO Baseball Pick, Odds, and Prediction

2020-08-28 05:30:00 EDT

The Lotte Giants and Kiwoom Heroes meet Friday morning in South Korea KBO baseball action at the Sajik Baseball Stadium.

The Lotte Giants look for a win after winning 20 of their last 35 games. The Lotte Giants offense has produced five or more runs in 23 of their last 36 games. In the latest effort, Shin Yong-su and Son Ah-seop combined for three hits and two RBI while Noh Kyung-eun allowed eight runs and 10 hits in 4.1 innings of work. The Lotte Giants have lost 28 of their last 55 games overall. Seo Jun-won gets the ball tonight for the Lotte Giants.

The Kiwoom Heroes look for a win after winning 19 of their last 27 games. The Kiwoom Heroes have scored no less than five runs in 20 of their last 41 games. In their last effort, Addison Russell and Kim Ha-seong combined for five hits and five RBI while Kim Tae-hoon allowed two runs and five hits in two innings of work. The Kiwoom Heroes have won 23 of their last 36 games overall. Yoon Jung-hyun gets the ball tonight for the Kiwoom Heroes.

The Kiwoom Heroes and Lotte Giants have split the last 10 meetings down the middle. Each of the last nine meetings between the Giants and Heroes have produced single-digit run totals.

Seo Jun-won has a 4.84 ERA and 1.50 WHIP this season through 80 innings, and he’s allowed three or more earned runs in six of his last eight starts. Yoon Jung-hyun has a 10.80 ERA and 2.70 WHIP this season through 10 innings, and he’s allowed seven runs and nine hits in his last 3.1 innings. I’m not running to the window to bet on either of these pitchers, as Jun-won has gotten hit hard in each of his last eight starts and Jung-hyun has been horrible in a small sample size. The one direction we can look is at the total. We have two shaky at best pitchers and we’ve seen double-digit run totals in each of the last nine meetings.

The total is high, but it’s high for a reason. Give me the over 11 runs.
