Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Eli White each had a base hit as well as the Rangers picked up the win. Kyle Cody threw five innings, allowing just one run on three hits, not factoring in the decision. Brett Martin got the win here to improve to 1-1 on the year as a result. Kyle Gibson will start here and is 2-6 with a 5.87 ERA and 54 strikeouts this season. It needed some kelp to get to the total on Friday, but looking at this pitching matchup alone, it’s going to get a lot easier. McCullers Jr. has a double-digit ERA on the road this season and Kyle Gibson IS 0-5 with an ERA around eight. I could easily see both starters getting touched up over the number as well.
