The Chicago White Sox and the Minnesota Twins meet Wednesday in MLB action from Target Field. This will be the final installment of a three-game series between these teams this week. The Twins managed a win in the opener, then on Tuesday the Sox evened it up with a three-run victory. Check back all season long for free MLB picks at Sports Chat Place.

Chicago fell behind 6-1 in the Monday opener and couldn’t catch back up in an eventual 8-5 loss. In the Tuesday game, the White Sox posted just three hits but managed a 4-1 win. Carlos Rodon managed 6.0 innings with seven this and one earned run.

For Wednesday’s starting pitcher slot, the Sox will send out Lance Lynn. Across 84.2 innings of work this year Lynn has 59 hits, 23 runs (19 earned), eight homers allowed, 28 walks, 99 Ks and a 2.02 ERA.

Over on the Twins’ side, they scored two in the eighth inning and posted 10 team hits in the Monday win. On Tuesday, Minnesota tallied just one run on their eight team hits (and three errors). Jose Berrios logged 7.0 innings, one hit, one earned, three walks and 10 Ks.

For the Wednesday game starter, the Twins will go with Michael Pineda. This season so far Pineda has a 3-4 record with a 3.70 ERA and 51 strikeouts to his credit. He’s coming off 4.0 innings with three earned versus the Astros on June 13.

The White Sox are 5-2 in their last seven Wednesday games and 5-2 in their last seven in game three of a series. Chicago is 47-23 in their last 70 versus the AL Central and the over is 5-0 in their last five in game three of a series.

Meanwhile, the Twins are 4-1 in their last five in game three of a series and 3-9 in their last 12 Wednesday games. The over is 42-17-4 in the Twins’ last 63 overall and 21-8-2 in their last 31 home games.

PICK: I’m going to stick with the White Sox. Lynn had a tough outing on June 19 versus the Astros with 4.0 innings, eight hits and six earned, but he’s been better in his last pair. In that span, Lynn has one earned on four hits with seven strikeouts in 9.0 innings. I like Lynn to post another solid outing in this one and put Chicago in position for a victory.
