The Kansas City Royals and the Cleveland Indians meet in an AL Central division matchup in MLB action from Progressive Field on Sunday.

The Kansas City Royals will attempt to bounce back from a 14-6 loss at the hands of the Indians last time out. Sal Perez and Andrew Benintendi each had two RBIs and a home run with Benintendi adding three hits. Nicky Lopez and Whit Merrifield each had an RBI as wlel to round out the scoring for KC in the loss. Ryan O’Hearn, Hunter Dozier, Jorge Soler and Michael A. Taylor each had base hits as well to finish off the Royals’ offense as a team in the losing effort. Mike Minor took the loss, falling to 6-8 on the year after allowing six runs on nine hits while striking out a pair over four innings of work. The Indians did not have a starting pitcher announced at the time that this article was posted.

The Cleveland Indians will look to build on their big victory over the Royals on Saturday. Oscar Mercado led the Tribe with four RBIs, going 3 for 4 with a home run and a double while Cesar Hernandez had a home run and three RBIs. Roberto Perez had a home run and two RBIs while Jose Ramirez added a solo home run. Bradley Zimmer, Bobby Bradley and Amed Rosario each had an RBI as well with Bradley and Rosario each having a double to finish off the scoring for the Giants in the win. Harold Ramirez went 3 for 4 with a double while Franmil Reyes added a pair of hits as well to finish off Cleveland’s offense as a team in the winning effort. Cal Quantrill got the win to improve to 1-2 on the year after allowing three runs on five hits over six innings of work. Eli Morgan will start here and is 1-3 with an 8.44 ERA and 22 strikeouts this season. This will be Morgan’s first career start against Kansas City.

Kansas City is 20-43 in their last 63 games overall and 74-166 in their last 240 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 15-4-3 in their last 22 Sunday games. Cleveland is 2-9 in their last 11 games overall and 2-6 in their last 8 home games while the over is 21-9-2 in their last 32 Sungay games.

I don’t want anything to do with either pitcher here if I’m being honest, but I do think that the starters play a big role here in getting us to the over. Eli Morgan’s done nothing but get torched this season while the Royals have had trouble getting consistently strong outings from their starting pitchers. I don’t know if we see 20 combined runs again, but I do see double-digits coming rather easily, so give me the over here.
