The Colorado Rockies and the Arizona Diamondbacks meet Saturday in MLB action from Chase Field. This will be the second installment in a three-game weekend series to end the regular season. In the Friday opener, the Rockies put up a two-run comeback win. Check back all season long for free MLB picks at Sports Chat Place.

Colorado played the Nationals this week, falling Monday but otherwise winning the remaining pair. On Friday versus the Diamondbacks, the Rockies came back from a 7-0 deficit to post a 9-7 victory. Starter Jon Gray lasted 4.0 innings with seven earned on seven hits.

For the starter job in the Saturday game two, the Rockies will go with Antonio Senzatela. In his 156.0 innings this year Senzatela has 172 hits, 78 runs (71 earned), 12 homers allowed, 30 walks, 105 Ks and a 4.10 ERA.

Over on the Diamondbacks’ side, they played the Giants this week. Arizona was swept in that series 0-3. In the Friday game, the Diamondbacks had seven runs in a wild third inning but couldn’t hold on to the big lead. Humberto Castellanos notched 5.2 innings with six earned, nine hits and a walk.

Starting pitcher for the Diamondbacks on Saturday will be Zac Gallen. In his 115.1 innings this year Gallen has 102 hits, 59 runs (56 earned), 17 homers allowed, 47 walks, 133 Ks and a 4.37 ERA.

The Rockies are 5-1 in their last six in game two of a series and 28-60 in their last 88 road games. The under is also 6-1 in Colorado’s last seven Saturday games.

Meanwhile, the Diamondbacks are 10-25 in their last 35 versus a team with a losing record and 35-96 in their last 131 overall. Arizona is also 3-9 in their last 12 in game two of a series.

PICK: I’m going to go with the Rockies. I like both starters to pitch well here, though. Gallen is coming off 6.0 innings with one earned on three hits and two walks versus the Dodgers. It was a nice bounce-back for him after eight earned over his previous two starts. As for Senzatela, he gave up two earned on eight hits and one walk in 6.0 innings versus San Francisco his last time up. I think this one will be a relatively lower-scoring game with Colorado eking out a late win.
