The Reds took on the Braves over the weekend, winning Friday 11-10 before losses in the other two games. On Monday versus Baltimore, Cincinnati came back from a rain delay to give up 12 hits in a 10-3 loss. Brandon Williamson went 2.0 frames in the start with three earned on two hits and four walks.
As starter for the Tuesday game it’ll be the Reds’ Andrew Abbott. In his four starts this year (the first four of his career) Abbott is 3-0 with a 1.14 ERA and 22 Ks in 23.2 innings.
Baltimore Orioles
Over on the Baltimore side, they managed to win two of three from the Mariners over the weekend. On Monday the Orioles scored twice in both the second and third innings and three times in both the fifth and seventh. Starter Cole Irvin managed 3.0 innings, one earned, three hits and no walks.
It’ll be Tyler Wells in the start for the O’s on Tuesday. In his 15 games (14 starts) this year Wells is 6-3 with a 3.22 ERA and 88 Ks in 86.2 innings. Wells is 15-13 with a 3.86 ERA in 82 career games (37 starts).
The Reds are 4-0 in their last four Tuesday games and 5-1 in their last six in game two of a series. The over is 6-1 in Cincinnati’s last seven in game two of a series.

I’ll stick with the Orioles in this one. Wells is on a pretty solid run lately. Over his last three starts, Wells is 2-1 with six earned in 18.1 combined innings on 14 hits and five walks. In the Monday matchup Baltimore got a great offensive effort with five different players having multiple hits (and six drawing at least one walk). I like the O’s to stay hot in game two and bag another win.
