Mike Clevinger will get the start here and is 8-8 with a 3.42 ERA and 108 strikeouts this season.

Red Sox Fall Flat In Game Two

The Boston Red Sox took the loss in game two on Saturday, further adding more disappointment as the Red Sox dropped to 76-79 on the year, eliminated from playoff contention. Rafael Devers leads the Red Sox with 154 hits, 33 home runs and 98 RBIs while Masataka Yoshida has a .288 batting average. Alex Verdugo has a team-best 36 doubles and 5 triples while Justin Turner has 23 home runs and 95 RBIs as well this season. Kutter Crawford will get the start here and is 6-7 with a 4.19 ERA and 121 strikeouts this season.

I’m going to take a shot on the White Sox here. I get it, the Red Sox are still fighting to secure a winning record, but the Red Sox have just looked dejected in some of their recent games and disappointed that the reality has sunk in that there’s no playoffs coming to Beantown this season. Clevinger is the best starting option that the White Sox have and even at the best of times, Crawford’s had some issues at home over the course of the season. Give me Chicago in this one.
