The San Francisco Giants and the Boston Red Sox meet Wednesday in MLB action from Fenway Park. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Boston Red Sox vs San Francisco Giants Prediction.

Starting Pitching Matchup

The San Francisco Giants did not have a starting pitcher announced at the time that this article was posted. Kutter Crawford is slated to get the start for the Red Sox here and is 1-1 with a 1.35 ERA and 34 strikeouts this season. This will be Crawford’s second career start against the Giants.

San Francisco Giants Recap

The San Francisco Giants will be looking to bounce back after a 4-0 loss at the hands of the Red Sox in Tuesday’s series opener. It was far from ideal for the Giants after their last couple of series, with wins in three-game sets against the Pirates and Mets coming into this one. It was just a sluggish night at the plate for the Giants overall, as none of San Francisco’s four hits as a team went for extra bases in the loss.

Giants Offense Heating Up Despite Tuesday’s Loss

Michael Conforto leads the Giants with 29 hits including 6 doubles, 5 home runs and a team-high 16 RBIs along with a .266 batting average Jorge Soler also has 5 home runs while Matt Chapman has 26 hits with 7 doubles, 4 home runs and 14 RBIs with a team-high 3 stolen bases while Soler has a team-high 33 strikeouts.

Boston Red Sox Recap

The Boston Red Sox will be looking to build on their win in Tuesday’s opener after out-hitting the Giants 11-4 in the win. The BoSox scored one run in each of the first four innings of the game and never looked back, looking to build on series wins over the Cubs and Pirates over the last week and a half.

Red Sox Building Momentum Behind Duran

Jarren Duran leads the Red Sox with 34 hits along with 9 stolen bases, 6 doubles, 3 triples and 34 strikeouts and also has 14 RBIs so far this season. Tyler O’Neill has a team-high 9 home runs and Triston Casas has 6 homers with 10 RBIs as well while Wilyer Abreu has a team-leading 8 doubles. Ceddanne Rafaela also has a team-leading 17 RBIs this season.

Boston Red Sox vs San Francisco Giants Prediction

I’m on the Red Sox in this one. I’d honestly like to know who the Giants are sending here, but it’s entirely possible this could be a bullpen game and the Giants’ bullpen has not been as sharp as it was to be able to trust them in bullpen games like we were able to so often last season. The Red Sox were not a team I was all that high on coming into the season, but they’ve been solid offensively to this point and I think we get enough of an effort from them and a nice bounce back start from Crawford here to get the Red Sox the W here.
