Braves vs Marlins Prediction
Game 1 Prediction: Gusto will make his debut for the Marlins, but he was sharp last month with the Astros. Outside of one bad start, Gusto allowed two or fewer runs in five of his last six starts. Waldrep will make his third career MLB start, so the jury is still out. Bottom line is, the Marlins are playing the better baseball overall and there’s not much of a gap between starting pitchers. Give me the fish in game 1.
Game 2 Prediction: Alcantara has been up and down, and he’s hard to trust because of it. Still, Alcantara has shown improvement in recent starts and he’s a CY Young winner. Things like that don’t just happen. We can trust Alcantara most nights. I think? Fedde has a 5.32 ERA and 1.48 WHIP on the season, and he has a 5.59 ERA and .272 allowed batting average in 46.2 home innings. Sweeps of doubleheaders don’t happen often, but I’m backing the Marlins in both games.
