On Friday the Sox scored four of their five runs in the sixth inning. Drew Thorpe lasted 6.0 innings in the start with two earned runs.

It’ll be Jonathan Cannon in the starter slot for the Sox in the Saturday matchup. Cannon is 1-2 with a 4.59 ERA in the first seven games (six starts) of his career. He’s got 29 Ks in 33.1 innings total.

Chicago White Sox vs Colorado Rockies Prediction

I might take a stab on the Sox here. Probably staying away, though. Both starters could use a good showing. Cannon is coming off five earned in one inning during a loss to Detroit on June 23. Prior to that however, Cannon was pitching well with one earned in 15.2 frames. As for Quantrill, he’s been okay but not great with six earned over his last 11.0 innings.

On Friday the Sox got a great effort on the mound from the four different arms. The pen came in with 3.0 frames and one earned. Chicago will have a great shot Saturday if they can keep that going.
