Kansas City Royals Betting Preview

The Royals played a weekend series versus the New York Mets and were only able to win one of the three games. Kansas City came back for a 2-0 win over the White Sox on Monday, though. In game two we had a rainout. That matchup will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday.

For game one Wednesday the Royals’ starting pitcher will be Brady Singer. This year Singer is 2-0 with a 0.98 ERA and 18 Ks. In the game two starting pitcher slot the Royals will send out Michael Wacha. Over his three starts this year Wacha is 1-1 with a 4.00 ERA and 17 strikeouts in 18.0 innings.

Chicago White Sox Betting Preview

Over on the White Sox’ side, they were swept by the Cincinnati Reds in their weekend series before the Monday loss. In that game one defeat, Chicago posted just four team hits. Two of them came from Andrew Benintendi. Starter Nick Nastrini ended up with 5.0 innings, two earned runs, three hits and two walks.

The Sox will send out Jonathan Cannon as starter in game one Wednesday. He’ll be making his debut here. It’ll be Erick Fedde in the game two starting pitcher role. Across his three starts so far Fedde has a 4.30 ERA without a decision and 14 Ks in 14.2 frames.

Royals vs White Sox Prediction

I’ll take the Royals in game one. Singer is humming along quite well so far in his three starts. He’s got two earned runs on seven hits and three walks over his last 11.1 innings of work, and kicked things off with a shutout 7.0-inning performance in a win over the Twins in his season debut.

I’ll lean toward the Royals in game two as well. Wacha needs a good bounce-back effort after a rough showing versus the Mets in his last start, though. In that one Wacha put up 6.0 innings with five earned on 10 hits and two walks. As for Fedde, he gave up four earned on four hits and three walks in 5.0 frames his last time out versus the Guardians. Should be a pretty good matchup if both guys are on point.
