The Minnesota Twins and the Chicago White Sox meet Saturday in MLB action from Guaranteed Rate Field. This will be the third installment in a four-game weekend series. Minnesota Twins 

The Twins scored four runs in both the seventh and ninth innings in the Thursday opener of this set, eventually securing a 10-2 win. Kyle Farmer, Edouard Julien and Royce Lewis each tallied a homer in the victory. On Friday Minnesota posted another 10-2 win. Lewis hit another homer—a grand slam, in fact—and had two runs. Ryan Jeffers had two RBI and a run as well. 

In the starter role for Saturday’s game the Twins will send out Pablo Lopez. Across 29 starts so far this year Lopez is 10-7 with a 3.43 ERA. In his last seven starts Lopez is 4-1 with a 1.64 ERA and 48 Ks in 44.0 frames.

In game two Chicago was able to score a couple in the fifth on an Elvis Andrus homer but otherwise came up empty at the plate. Vaughn stayed hot with a couple of hits, though. 

Touch Toussaint will take the mound in the start for the White Sox on Saturday. In his 17 games (13 starts) so far Toussaint is 3-7 with a 5.65 ERA and 71 Ks in 71.2 innings. In his last seven starts Toussaint is 2-3 with an 8.01 ERA.

I’ll stick with the Twins here, but the line’s too thick to mess with. Lopez is doing great on the mound right now. Over his last three starts combined Lopez is 1-1 with just three earned runs in 20.0 innings on 18 hits and six walks. As for Toussaint, he’s coming off a rough outing versus KC with eight earned on six hits and two walks in just one inning. In the Friday game Minnesota jumped on Chicago early, and six different players had multiple hits. This one’s probably not going to be close either if the Twins keep it up at the plate.
