The Baltimore Orioles and the Detroit Tigers meet Sunday in MLB action from Comerica Park. Here’s a Detroit Tigers vs Baltimore Orioles prediction. This will be the final installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Tigers vs Orioles pick.

Baltimore Orioles Betting Preview

In their last set the Orioles played the Boston Red Sox. Baltimore was only able to win Tuesday 5-3 and dropped the other pair. After a 1-0 loss to the Tigers, on Saturday the O’s powered out a 4-2 victory with three runs in the seventh inning.

As starter for the finale Baltimore is going with Cade Povich. So far Povich is 2-8 with a 5.91 ERA in the first 13 starts of his career.

Detroit Tigers Betting Preview

Over on the Tigers’ side, they played the Colorado Rockies this past week. Detroit won the first pair before a 4-2 Thursday loss. On Saturday the Tigers scored twice in the bottom of the ninth to make things interesting but couldn’t dig out of the hole.

It’ll be Keider Montero in the start for the Tigers on Sunday. This year Montero is 5-6 with a 4.88 ERA over 15 games (14 starts) in his rookie campaign.

Detroit Tigers vs Baltimore Orioles Prediction

I’ll lean Tigers but I’m probably not touching it. Montero is coming off a stellar complete game with zero earned, three hits and no walks versus the Rockies. Prior to that however, Montero had eight earned runs in 9.1 innings. As for Povich, he’s coming off four earned in 4.2 innings versus Boston.

On Saturday the Tigers got five hits between Colt Keith and Spencer Torkelson. The rest of the team had two hits combined. There were a couple of rough pitching performances as well. All things considered I still like Detroit Sunday but I’m staying away.
