On Monday versus Houston, the Cardinals gave up four runs in the eighth during a tough loss 7-4. Starter Kyle Gibson finished with 5.2 innings, three earned, five hits, three walks and eight Ks.

Houston Astros vs St. Louis Cardinals Prediction
I’ll try the Cardinals here. This one’s probably a coin flip, though. Pallante has done pretty well over his last three outings. In that trio he’s 1-0 with two earned runs in 10.0 innings on 11 hits and four walks. As for Arrighetti, he’s coming off 6.0 clean frames versus the Mariners in a win, but did given up seven earned over his previous 11.1 frames.
On Monday the Cardinals still had things under control in the bottom of the eighth inning but couldn’t hang on due to a series of unfortunate events. St. Louis has four or more runs in four of the last six games though, so I think they’ve got a decent shot Tuesday.
