The Texas Rangers and the Los Angeles Angels meet Saturday in MLB action from Angel Stadium. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a LA Angels vs Texas Rangers Prediction.

Starting Pitching Matchup

The Texas Rangers will start Andrew Heaney here and Heaney is 5-14 with a 3.98 ERA and 156 strikeouts this season. Griffin Canning will get the nod for the Angels here and Canning is 6-13 with a 5.24 ERA and 126 strikeouts this season.

Texas Rangers Recap

The Texas Rangers come into this one looking to keep the ball rolling after a 5-2 win over the Angels in Friday’s series opener. The win gives the Rangers a chance to finish the season with a series win if they can pick up the W here after losing series against the A’s and Mariners over the last week.

Going into Friday, Marcus Semien leads the Rangers with 149 hits along with 26 doubles, 22 home runs and 73 RBIs while Adolis Garcia has 24 home runs and 84 RBIs with 27 doubles as well as 11 stolen bases. Los Angeles Angels Recap

The Los Angeles Angels will try to rebound after another loss following Friday’s series opener. The loss put the Angels at risk of three straight series losses to close out the year after falling short against the White Sox and Astros over the last week.

LA Angels vs Texas Rangers Prediction

I’m on the Rangers here. There’s simply no backing the Angels in my opinion as this Angels team is just horrendous and are playing like (or not playing at all) a team that’s frankly given up on the season and are playing out the string. The Rangers are at least showing some pride down the stretch and I think that counts for something. I’ve also been harsh on Andrew Heaney but he’s probably a better pitcher than I give him credit for a lot of the time. Give me the Texas Rangers here.
