The Texas Rangers and the Los Angeles Angels meet Tuesday in MLB action from Angel Stadium. This will be the second installment in a three-game series. In the Monday opener, the Rangers powered out a four-run win. Check back all season long for free MLB picks at Sports Chat Place.

Texas Rangers

The Rangers took on the Mariners over the weekend and continued their win streak with a three-game sweep. In Sunday’s 9-8 win, Texas got homers from five different batters—two from Marcus Semien. In the Monday matchup versus LA, Texas scored three in the sixth inning during a 5-1 victory. Semien, Adolis Garcia, Mitch Garver and Nathaniel Lowe each had solo homers to continue the power surge.

Texas is going with Cody Bradford in the starter role Tuesday. Bradford is 4-2 with a 4.65 ERA and 46 strikeouts.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll likely stay with the Angels in this one. Detmers has been pretty good over his last three starts despite not earning a decision in any of them. In that trio, Detmers has 17.2 total innings with four earned on 17 hits and three walks. He should be good for a quality start in this one, then it’ll be up to the relievers to finish the job. On Monday in the opener, Los Angeles couldn’t cash in on the offensive opportunities they had, and the Angels have now scored one run in two of the last three games. LA has a better offense than that however, and I like the bats to rally behind Detmers in game two.
