The Toronto Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Angels meet in MLB action from Angel Stadium on Sunday.

The Toronto Blue Jays will look to keep the momentum going after another solid showing over the Angels on Saturday. Bo Bichette leads the Blue Jays with 46 hits including 11 doubles, 6 home runs and 23 RBIs while Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and George Springer each have a team-high 8 home runs and 20+ RBIs with Springer logging a team-high 26 RBIs. Santiago Espinal has 41 hits with a team-high 13 doubles and a .277 batting average on the year.

The Los Angeles Angels will try to salvage something from the series in Sunday’s series finale. Mike Trout has 46 hits, 13 doubles and 12 home runs while Jared Walsh has 28 RBIs and Brandon Marsh has 25 RBIs. Shohei Ohtani has 44 hits while adding 8 doubles, 9 home runs and a team-high 29 RBIs. Taylor Ward also has a .354 batting average as well this season. Patrick Sandoval will start here and is 3-1 with a 1.79 ERA and 38 strikeouts this season.

Toronto is 16-5 in their last 21 games against the AL West and 1-4 in their last 5 Sunday games while the under is 4-0 in their lat 4 game four matchups. Los Angeles is 6-0 in their last 6 Sunday games and 3-7 in their last 10 games overall while the under is 15-7-3 in their last 25 games as a home favorite.

I get the case to be made either way here, but I’m looking squarely at the over in this one. Jose Berrios has been tagged in his last couple of starts away from Rogers Centre and while Patrick Sandoval has some solid numbers this season, I question the level of competition in his recent starts and think Sandoval could be in for a tough start and a battle here. Give me the over.
