Mariners vs Royals Prediction
The Royals have been a tough sell this season, but I can’t back Castillo in the favorite role. In 22.1 innings in April, Castillo allowed 35 hits and 20 earned runs while walking nine. He had an 8.06 ERA last month and just gave up seven runs to the Twins in his last outing. No, thanks. Bubic has held his own with a 3.74 ERA and 1.19 WHIP and is averaging more than a strikeout per inning. I’d like to see the control pick up, but he’s still been sharper than Castillo. I’ll take the more favorable price with the Royals.
