The Los Angeles Angels and Miami Marlins meet Monday in MLB action at Marlins Park. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Angels vs Marlins prediction.

Angels Betting Preview

The Angels are coming off a 1-2 series loss to the Orioles. The Angels pitching staff has allowed 25 runs through their first 3 games, which isn’t ideal to say the least. The good news is the Angels can only go up from here, and things were better in a 4-1 win on Sunday. Taylor Ward leads the Angels with 3 hits and 4 RBI, while Brandon Drury and Logan O’Hoppe have combined for 6 hits and 1 RBI. Chase Silseth gets the ball for the Angels, and he was 4-1 with a 3.96 ERA and 56 strikeouts last season. This will be Silseth’s second career game against the Marlins.

Marlins Betting Preview

The Marlins are looking for a win after a 4-game sweep against the Pirates. The Marlins have allowed no less than 6 runs in every game this season and have had some heartbreaking losses. It’s just 4 games, but I don’t get the warm and fuzzy feeling from the Marlins right now, especially after some of the comments on Sunday. Jake Burger leads the Marlins with 7 hits and 6 RBI, while Bryan De La Cruz and Josh Bell have combined for 9 hits. Max Meyer gets the ball for the Marlins, and he was 0-1 with a 7.50 ERA and 6 strikeouts in the 2022 season. This will be Meyer’s first career game against the Angels.

Miami Marlins Team Facts

  • The Marlins have lost each of their last eight games.
  • The Marlins have failed to cover the run line in each of their last 10 games as home favorites.
  • The Marlins have trailed after 3 innings in each of their last three night games.
  • The Marlins have trailed after 7 innings in three of their last four games as home favorites.
  • The ‘Inning 1 UNDER 0.5 runs’ market has hit in each of the Marlins’ last five night games at LoanDepot Park.

Los Angeles Angels Team Facts

  • The Angels have lost each of their last six games following a win.
  • The Angels have covered the run line each of their last five road games against NL East opponents that held a losing record.
  • The ‘Inning 1 OVER 0.5 runs’ market has hit in each of the Angels’ last five games.
  • The Angels have trailed after 3 innings in each of their last four night games against opponents that held a losing record.

Angels vs Marlins prediction

I’m not excited to back the Angels, especially on the road, but Silseth showed promise last year with 56 strikeouts in 52.1 innings. I also want nothing to do with the Marlins, as they’re blowing leads left and right, the pitching has been rough, and you’re getting vibes all the positivity they built last year with a playoff berth is out the window. Meyer also has limited MLB experience, and he missed all of last year with elbow surgery. I’m really low on the Marlins right now and want nothing to do with them. It’s Angels or pass for me.
