Los Angeles Dodgers Betting Preview

The Dodgers played the Chicago Cubs over the weekend and had some issues with two losses in three games. LA bounced back with a 4-2 win over the Twins on Monday, though. In the Tuesday game the Dodgers bagged a 6-3 victory with nine team hits. Will Smith and James Outman each had two hits, three RBI and a homer.

In the Wednesday starting pitcher role the Dodgers will send out Bobby Miller. Over his two starts so far this year Miller is 1-1 with a 5.87 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 7.2 innings. In his career Miller is 12-5 with a 3.89 ERA in 24 total games.

Minnesota Twins Betting Preview

Over on the Twins’ side, they played two games versus the Cleveland Guardians over the weekend and lost both. Minnesota could only muster three hits in the Monday loss, then on Tuesday the Twins got solo home runs from Carlos Correa, Alex Kirilloff and Ryan Jeffers in the losing effort. Louie Varland gave up six earned in 5.0 frames during the start.

Chris Paddack will take the mound for the starting pitcher role in the Wednesday game three. In his lone start this year Paddack went 4.0 innings with two earned in a no-decision. Paddack is 22-21 in his MLB career with a 4.22 ERA in 69 total games (66 starts).

Dodgers vs Twins Prediction

I’ll lean toward the Dodgers here. Miller needs a good bounce-back effort on the mound, though. In his last start versus the Cubs, Miller put up just 1.2 innings with five earned on four hits and two walks in a loss. The good news is that Miller was great in his debut with 6.0 clean innings against the Cardinals.

On Tuesday Los Angeles benefited from a couple of big swings from Smith and Outman. The 7.0 clean frames and 14 strikeouts from Tyler Glasnow were a huge help as well. Provided Miller can give the Dodgers a quality start I think LA will be in a good spot Wednesday. The bullpen has to perform better this time, though.
