The Colorado Rockies and the New York Mets meet Saturday in MLB action from Citi Field. Here’s a NY Mets vs Colorado Rockies Prediction. This will be the second installment in a three-game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the game.

Colorado Rockies Betting Preview

This week the Rockies took on the Cincinnati Reds. Colorado only got one win in that series (6-5 on Wednesday), otherwise taking losses 6-0, 12-6 and 8-1. On Friday versus the Mets, the Rockies scored four runs in the final two frames but couldn’t come back in a 7-6 loss. Starter Tanner Gordon left after 3.0 innings with six earned on eight hits and two walks.

In the starter slot for the Rockies on Saturday it’ll be Ryan Feltner. So far this year Feltner is 1-8 with a 5.29 ERA in 18 starts. In his career Feltner is 7-22 with a 5.75 ERA in 50 games (49 starts).

New York Mets Betting Preview

Over on the Mets’ side, they played the Washington Nationals in their last series. New York did well in that series, taking wins 7-5, 6-2 and 7-0 for a sweep. In the opener versus the Rockies, the Mets nearly blew a 7-2 lead but pulled it off in the end. Sean Manaea posted 7.0 innings with three earned in the start.

Christian Scott will take the mound for the starter role on Saturday. So far this year Scott is 0-2 with a 4.15 ERA in seven starts (the first seven starts of his career). He has 30 Ks in 39.0 innings.

NY Mets vs Colorado Rockies Prediction

I’ll probably just stay with the Mets. Also probably not touching it due to the thick line. Since returning to the MLB early this month, Scott has one bad outing and one good one. In the bad appearance Scott posted four earned in 5.2 innings. He came back with 5.2 innings and two earned on July 8 versus Pittsburgh, though. As for Feltner, he’s given up just four earned in his last 18.0 innings but has gone 0-2 in those three starts.

On Friday the Mets faded a bit after a hot start but ultimately pulled off the win (despite a couple of spotty bullpen performances). Every batter got on base at least once except for JD Martinez (0-for-3) in a nice all-around offensive game. I like New York to keep it rolling Saturday, but I’m still probably not going near the hefty line.
