I’ll stay with the Red Sox. Gil has struggled mightily over his last three starts, so Boston should have some early opportunities. In that trio Gil is 0-3 with 16 earned runs in 9.1 innings total. As for Crawford, he’s 2-1 in his last three with seven earned in 18.1 frames combined.

On Saturday the Red Sox had a 4-3 lead going into the bottom of the fifth but lost the handle from there. Boston could only get one hit off the Yankees pen, a 4.2-inning effort that deserves quite a bit of credit after a shaky Cole outing. This one seems like a coin flip but Boston should have a good shot at taking the series Sunday.
