This past week the Red Sox took on the Baltimore Orioles. Boston lost Tuesday 5-3 but won the other pair. After two losses to New York 2-1 and 5-4, on Saturday the Sox were able to strike back with a dominant 7-1 victory.

As starter for Sunday it’ll be Carlos Rodon. So far Rodon is 14-9 with a 4.15 ERA in 29 starts. Over 195 career games Rodon is 73-63 with a 3.88 ERA.

NY Yankees vs Boston Red Sox Prediction
I’ll lean toward the Yankees. Rodon needs a bit of help from the bats though. His last decision was a loss to the Nats on 5.2 innings and five earned. Since then however, Rodon has just three earned in 12.0 innings. As for Crawford, he’s 0-3 in his last trio but has given up just seven earned in 19.0 total frames.
On Saturday the Yankees saw a rough couple of innings from ace Gerrit Cole, who finished on 4.1 innings and seven earned runs. The good news is that the bullpen did pretty well; the bad news is that the offense didn’t. New York needs to play better on both sides Sunday.
