Houston Astros

The Astros bagged a 3-1 win in the Thursday opener, then hit a 6-4 victory Friday thanks to three homers and four RBI from Kyle Tucker. In Saturday’s game three, Houston got two hits from both Alex Bregman and Jose Abreu in a 4-1 loss. Chas McCormick added a pair of walks as well during the defeat.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’m going to try the A’s here. Medina is pitching pretty well right now. He’s got five earned on 14 hits and seven walks over his last three starts in 16.2 innings, going 2-0 in that time. Medina only has two July starts under his belt, though. As for Brown, he’s 0-3 in his last trio with 12 earned on 24 hits and three walks in 12.1 combined frames. Oakland should have a few base running opportunities in the early-going here. On Saturday Oakland’s bullpen put together a nice 3.2 innings with one hit, no earned, two walks and six strikeouts. Another performance like that and the A’s will be in great shape.
