The Mariners began their season by splitting a four-game series with the Athletics, then fell in two of the three games versus the Detroit Tigers. Red Sox vs Mariners Prediction
I’m going to stay with Boston. Crochet should be able to post a nice start here; he’s been doing well lately. Over his last three combined Crochet is a tepid 1-1, but he’s given up just two combined earned runs in 19.0 total innings on 10 hits and seven walks. A quality start would go a long way here, as would six good frames or so. Boston’s pen and bats should be set up well in this one if all goes according to plan. As for Woo, he’s been doing well in his last pair. Woo has a tepid 1-1 record in those two, but has gone 7.0 innings in each with four earned on 13 hits and three walks.
The Red Sox had a few rough innings in their Wednesday matchup, and there were some spotty moments on the mound. Boston should be in good shape if Crochet can get it going Thursday, though, and it’ll be up to the pen/bats from there.
