Rockies vs Tigers Prediction

Game 1 Prediction: The Rockies have won just three games since April 11, so it’s hard to back them with confidence most nights, regardless. This isn’t one of those spots. Mize has been terrific this season, allowing 31 hits and 11 runs in 36.2 innings, and he’s gotten double-digit groundballs in each of his last three starts. Freeland has allowed 47 hits and 23 earned runs in 36.1 innings, and he has an 8.53 ERA and .356 allowed batting average in 12.2 home innings. This should be a comfortable road win for a Tigers’ offense that should be extremely excited about this matchup.

Game 2 Prediction: It would be nice to know who the Tigers are throwing out there on the mound, but who cares? Again, the Rockies have won three games since April 11. Gordon will also pitch for the first time this season. Last year as a rookie, Gordon racked up an 8.65 ERA and .356 allowed batting average in 34.1 innings. I want nothing to do with the Rockies in this doubleheader on Thursday. Give me the Tigers to sweep the board.
