The Arizona Diamondbacks and the San Francisco Giants meet Sunday in MLB action from Oracle Park. This will be the finale in a three-game weekend series. Arizona Diamondbacks 

The Diamondbacks had an early lead in the Friday opener of this series but eventually lost 8-5. In the Saturday game two, Arizona scored four runs in the fifth inning during a 7-6 loss. 

Ryne Nelson will make the start for the Diamondbacks on Sunday. Across his 15 starts this year Nelson is 3-4 with a 5.31 ERA and 52 Ks in 76.1 innings. Nelson is 4-5 with a 4.56 career ERA in 18 starts. 

San Francisco Giants 

Over on the Giants’ side, they scored five runs in the fifth inning Friday on the way to 12 team hits. On Saturday San Francisco scored multiple runs in three different innings. Keaton Winn did most of the pitching on 3.0 innings, three earned and five hits. 

Starting pitcher for Sunday will be Anthony DeSclafani. In his 15 starts this season DeSclafani is 4-6 with a 4.38 ERA and 66 Ks in 84.1 innings. DeSclafani is 54-54 in his career with a 4.14 ERA in 176 games (166 starts). 

The Diamondbacks are 20-8 in their last 28 road games and 17-8 in their last 25 overall. The over is 4-1 in Arizona’s last five Sunday games. 

Meanwhile, the Giants are 5-0 in their last five in game three of a series and 22-8 in their last 30 versus a right-handed starter. San Francisco is 26-10 in their last 36 overall. 

ANDREW’S FREE PICK 

I’ll take a stab on the Giants here. Probably not touching this one, though. DeSclafani is coming off three earned in 5.0 innings against the Padres. As for Nelson, he posted a similar line with 5.0 innings and three earned in Milwaukee his last time up. I’d imagine both starters will at least flirt with quality outings in this matchup. On Saturday San Francisco had a fairly nice offensive effort; I think the Giants will keep it going in the finale.
