I’ll stick with the Mariners here. Gilbert has been pretty solid over his last three starts, with seven combined earned runs in 19.2 innings on 13 hits and two walks. Gilbert is 2-0 over that trio. As for Cortes, he’s given up 12 earned over his last 16.1 innings on 17 hits and five walks. In the Monday game the Mariners had a pretty miserable outing from Miller, who gave up the bulk of the damage. That said, the pen wasn’t perfect and the offense was lacking. I think Seattle will fare better in game two.
