ANDREW’S FREE PICK
I just might stick with the Rockies in this one. Gomber had a sketchy start versus the Astros a couple of weeks back (6.0 innings; four earned in a loss) but he’s been better in his last pair. In those two, Gomber has just two earned runs in 12.0 innings on 12 hits and two walks. Gomber should be able to keep St. Louis at bay while he’s out there. On Saturday Colorado had a pretty tough evening on the mound and the offense couldn’t do much with the seven team hits. Gomber is probably going to need a quality outing, but if the pen holds up I like the Rockies to pull off a W in the finale.
