Kansas City Royals Recap

The Kansas City Royals come into this one looking to build some momentum after snapping their losing streak with a 1-0 win over the Nationals in Tuesday’s series opener. The win put Kansas City in a decent spot to bounce back from consecutive sweeps against the Giants and Tigers over the last week and a half.

  • The Royals have lost each of their last four games as favorites after playing the previous day.
  • The Nationals have covered the run line in each of their last 10 games as underdogs against American League opponents following a home loss.
  • The Royals have failed to cover the run line in each of their last seven games.

Washington Nationals vs Kansas City Royals Prediction

I’m backing the Royals here. Sure, I’m still slightly concerned that Kansas City won by scoring one run in ten innings on Tuesday, but it was a win nonetheless and a confidence builder in my opinion for a Kansas City team that’s been sliding big-time going into the last week of the season. I just think this is where the sense of urgency shows up for the Royals over the last week of the season and I think KC gets it done in the clutch once again. Give me Kansas City.
