The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Washington Nationals meet Tuesday in MLB action from Nationals Park. This will be the second installment in a three-game series this week. In the Monday opener, LA posted a blowout victory. Check back all season long for free MLB picks at Sports Chat Place.

The Dodgers played the Phillies over the weekend. LA managed wins Friday and Saturday to take that series. On Monday versus the Nats, the Dodgers took a 10-1 blowout win. Tyler Anderson posted 8.0 clean innings with five hits, eight Ks and no walks in a great start.

Walker Buehler will take the mound for the start on Tuesday for LA. In his eight starts this year Buehler is 5-1 with a 2.89 ERA. Over 46.2 innings Buehler has 45 hits, 15 earned, 12 walks and 39 Ks.

Over on the Nationals’ side, they lost Friday and Saturday to the Brewers before an 8-2 Sunday win to stave off the sweep. On Monday, Washington had seven team hits and couldn’t score until the ninth. Joan Adon was gone after 4.2 innings with six earned on seven hits and four walks.

Josiah Gray will take the mound for the Nationals on Tuesday. Across his eight starts so far, Gray is 4-3 with a 4.36 ERA. In 43.1 innings total he has 37 hits, 21 earned, 18 walks and 46 Ks.

The Dodgers are 44-13 in their last 57 Tuesday games and 74-30 in their last 104 overall. LA is 41-15 in their last 56 in game two of a series.

Meanwhile, the Nationals are 12-27 in the last 39 in game two of a series and 15-36 in their last 51 overall. Washington is 16-43 in their last 59 at home.

PICK: I’m going to stay with the Dodgers. This one’s probably too thick of a line to mess with, though. Buehler had a rough start versus Philly on May 13 with five earned in 5.0 innings. In two of his last three however, Buehler has a combined three earned in 12.0 innings. As for Gray, he’s got a total of 12 earned on 17 hits and four walks over his last three starts in 17.1 innings of work. I like both guys to have decent outings, but I think Buehler will win the starting pitcher battle here.
