In this article we will formulate a White Sox vs Angels prediction for this MLB game on Sunday, March 30th at Rate Field in Chicago, Illinois. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this MLB matchup.

Chicago White Sox Betting Preview

The Chicago White Sox are 1-1 this year after they lost to LA by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. Chicago couldn’t manage to find any runs in the game, but they pitched very well, before allowing an RBI infield single in the eighth. The White Sox recorded just two hits in the game. Benintendi went 1-2 with two walks in the game, while Baldwin added the only other hit for Chicago in the loss. The White Sox started Cannon, who allowed four hits over 5.0 innings, while Clevinger allowed one earned run and one hit in the eighth inning for the loss.

Last season, the Chicago pitching staff had a 4.67 ERA with a 1.44 WHIP and a .255 opponent batting average, while the offense scored 507 runs with a .221 batting average and a .278 on base percentage. Chicago was dead last in runs scored last season and they were 28th in team ERA. The White Sox were led by Andrew Benintendi, who hit .229 with 20 home runs and 64 RBI’s last year. The projected starting pitcher for Chicago is Davis Martin, who went 0-5 with a 4.32 ERA and a 1.46 WHIP over 50.0 innings pitched for the Sox last year.

Los Angeles Angels Betting Preview

The Los Angeles Angels are 1-1 this season after they escaped with an ugly 1-0 win on Saturday afternoon. Los Angeles did scatter eight hits in the game, but they finally broke through with the only run in the game in the eighth inning. Ward went 2-4 in the game, while Rengifo also went 2-4, but the star was Moncada, who had the lone RBI. LA started Soriano, who went 7.0 innings and allowed just two hits in the win.

Last season, the Los Angeles pitching staff had a 4.56 ERA with a 1.35 WHIP and a .246 opponent batting average, while the offense scored 635 runs with a .229 batting average and a .301 on base percentage. The Angels were near the bottom of the MLB in team ERA and runs scored, and they had a pretty rough season. LA was led by Taylor Ward, who hit .246 with 25 home runs and 75 RBI’s in 2024. The projected starting pitcher for Los Angeles is Jack Kochanowicz, who was 2-6 with a 3.99 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP over 65.1 innings pitched for LA in 2024.

White Sox vs Angels Prediction

Both of these teams have picked up one win so far in the series and will go for the series win here. Chicago jumped on the Angels in game one with an 8-1 win, but they were shutout in game two. Los Angeles needs to find some offense, as they have scored a grand total of two runs through two games. I don’t love either starting pitcher in this game, but Kochanowicz did have a decent season last year in limited time in the majors, so I will back the Angels here.
