Houston Astros Betting Preview

The Houston Astros are 65-51 this season after they won game one on Friday in extra innings. Houston blew a 2-0 lead in the sixth inning, but they scored three runs in the 10th to get the victory. The Astros recorded 10 hits in the game and they were led by Altuve and Trammell, who both had two RBIs in the win. Houston started Brown, who allowed four hits and two earned runs over 5.1 innings, while Hader picked up the win.

  • The Yankees have failed to cover the run line in each of their last seven games.
  • The Astros have covered the run line in seven of their last eight day games against AL East opponents following a win.

Total Runs Facts

  • Each of the Yankees’ last eight games following an extra innings loss have gone UNDER the total runs line.
  • Six of the Astros’ last seven games after playing the previous day have gone OVER the total runs line.
  • The ‘Inning 1 OVER 0.5 runs’ market has hit in eight of the Astros’ last nine games at Yankee Stadium.
  • The ‘Inning 1 UNDER 0.5 runs’ market has hit in seven of the Yankees’ last eight day games against AL West opponents.

Yankees vs Astros Prediction

Houston was able to get the dramatic win in extra innings on Friday, as New York continues to have major issues recently. The Astros are 30-27 on the road this year, while the Yankees are 34-23 at home. New York is fading in the AL East and they are starting Gil, who did not pitch well in his first outing off of the IL. Houston is going with Valdez, who was rocked in his last start, but he has been elite all year. We lost with Houston in Framber’s last start against Boston, but we can’t pass up this number with him on the mound. Take the Astros to win.
