It’s a shame there is no line yet out for this game because of the unknown status of Chandler Parsons. It will be a bonus if he plays, but even if he doesn’t, I’m leaning heavily toward the over here. Parsons had been in a shooting slump until he broke out of it in their comfortable win over the Brooklyn Nets last weekend, going a perfect 6-6 from long range. While the Rockets are definitely a better team with him on the floor, they still have plenty of players that can light up the scoreboard.
There was a period there where Houston was not scoring well at all, but that’s not the case anymore as they have averaged 110.7 points over their last 10 games, which is the most by any team over that time period. If you take away that 93 point outing in Memphis two weeks ago when James Harden was out, that number jumps up to nearly 213 per game. As far as the Phoenix Suns are concerned, they are still scoring at a high clip as they have poured in 103.4 points per game over their last nine outings. Defensively, the Suns have been one of the worst teams in the NBA over the last couple of weeks, allowing 104.7 points over their last nine contests.
