The Atlanta Hawks will make their way to Philadelphia to play the 76ers for the second time this season. The earlier matchup in November was won by Atlanta 113-103. Of course, things have changed since then such as the health of Al Horford.
The banged up Hawks are still doing what they can to tread water, winning three of their last five games. Their most recent loss was a heartbreaker against the Oklahoma City Thunder thanks to Kevin Durant putting on an absolute show. They’ve scored more than 100 points in four of their last five games, but continue to struggle stopping the other team. That 101.3 points allowed on the year has skyrocketed to 105.2 in their last five matchups.

At this point Atlanta can only hope Jeff Teague returns from injury. He’s questionable with a banged up ankle.
The 76ers have proven they are who we thought they were, losing 10 of their last 13 games. They’re dead last in the league in points allowed with an average of an insane 109.5 points. Not counting the recent victory over Boston, Philadelphia has allowed more than 100 points in seven straight games.
It’s safe to assume Atlanta is going to get whatever shot it wants in this matchup. And with players such as Paul Millsap, Kyle Korver and Louis Williams, players who have stepped up in Horford’s absence, you have to like the Hawks winning this game on the road.
Philadelphia is just 19-27 against the spread and only 8-15 SU at home. Meanwhile, the Hawks are 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 Friday games and have won two of their last three road games SU.
If the Hawks could take OKC down to the wire, they should be able to beat up on a lousy Philadelphia squad.
