The Line: Milwaukee Bucks -1.5 -- Over/Under: 194.5 See the Latest Odds
The Milwaukee Bucks square off against the visiting Utah Jazz on Monday night.
Head to head, the Jazz are 19-7 ATS in the last 26 meetings and 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Milwaukee while the home team is 11-2 ATS in the last 13 meetings. The Bucks are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games overall, but just 17-35 ATS in their last 52 home games. The Jazz on the other hand are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss, but just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 0 days rest.
Who knew the Milwaukee Bucks had it in them. This team has been horrible in every aspect of the game, even from a betting stand point all season long. But their recent improved play has seen them cover the spread in nine of their last 11 games, despite that only resulting in two victories. Milwaukee is a much more competative team than they were earlier in the year, which bodes well going into next season. They are still having a lot of issues on the defensive end as they have give up at least 100 points in each of their last 10 outings and 14 of 16 overall.
The Utah Jazz are curently in the midst of a six-game Eastern Conference road trip, having fallen in Clevelend and Indiana to start proceedings. While the Jazz were blown out in Cleveland to the tune of 20 points, despite leading by seven at quarter time, they did play much better against the Pacers on Sunday night, narrowly falling 94-91.
Instead of deciding which crappy team I want to take here, which looks like a coin toss anyway, I'm going with a total. Neither the Bucks or Jazz are great offensive teams, in fact, they are among the worst in the entire league. But, games in Milwaukee these days are pretty high scoring for the most part as the over has hit in four of five at the Bradley Center. Utah hasn't scored a lot so far on their trip, but they were coming off 110 and 109 points outings in their two games prior to their trip, so they can put up a big total from time to time. More of a gut feeling than anything else, I like the over in this one...
