The Orlando Magic and the Dallas Mavericks do battle at the American Airlines Center on Saturday night.

The Orlando Magic have been one of the form teams of the league as they’ve won six of their first nine games, but they will be looking to bounce back in this one after getting their two-game win streak snapped by the Rockets in a 132-90 loss last night. Nikola Vucevic led the team with 22 points, 12 rebounds and three assists, Cole Anthony added 15 points while Mo Bamba chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Magic shot just 38 percent from the field and eight of 29 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going early and quickly found themselves looking up at a 62-33 score at halftime and things only got worse as the game wore on. Terrence Ross scored just five points on two of nine shooting off the bench while Gary Clark finished scoreless in 31 minutes of action.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks are starting to find some form with four wins in their last six games and they will be aiming for a third straight win after outlasting the Nuggets in a 124-117 overtime road win on Thursday. Luka Doncic led the team with 38 points, nine rebounds, 13 assists and four steals, Josh Richardson and Dorian Finney-Smith each scored 14 points while Boban Marjanovic chipped in with 12 points on five of seven shooting. As a team, the Mavericks shot 48 percent from the field and 16 of 40 from the 3-point line as they regrouped to win it in overtime after a rollercoaster finish to the fourth quarter.

Looking at the betting trends, the Magic are 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 road games, 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine games playing on zero days rest and 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine games overall. The Mavericks are 0-6 ATS in their last six games as a favorite and 3-11 ATS in their last 14 home games against a team with a winning road record.

Head to head, the over is 22-8 in the last 30 meetings overall, the Magic are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Dallas and the Magic are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall.

The Magic will be eager to get back on the court to atone for last night’s embarrassing blowout loss to the Rockets, while the Mavericks will be gunning for a third straight win with Doncic leading the way. The Magic don’t have the talent to match the Mavericks and they just got blown out by 42 points last night, but they are 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 road games and I think we’re going to see them bounce back and at least keep this one close.
