The Boston Celtics invade the FedExForum to take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night.
The Boston Celtics have been in a rut lately as they’ve lost four of their past six games, but they will be feeling much better after arresting a three-game slide with a 112-96 win over the Magic last night. Jaylen Brown drained 10 3-pointers to lead the team with 34 points on 12 of 24 shooting, Jayson Tatum added 23 points on seven of 13 shooting, Kemba Walker scored 14 points while Marcus Smart chipped in with 11 points and eight assists. As a team, the Celtics shot 45 percent from the field and 23 of 54 from the 3-point line as they held the Magic to just 17 points in the second quarter to take the lead at halftime, before running away with it in the third quarter where they poured in 33 points to lead by as many as 23 points.
Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies have been in decent shape as they’ve split their last 10 games and they will be looking to build some momentum after taking down the Warriors in a 111-103 home win on Saturday. Dillon Brooks and Jonas Valanciunas each scored 19 points, Brandon Clarke scored 16 points on seven of nine shooting off the bench while Ja Morant chipped in with 14 points and eight assists. As a team, the Grizzlies shot just 38 percent from the field and 10 of 32 from the 3-point line as they trailed at halftime, before running away with it in the second half as they held the depleted Warriors to just 34 percent shooting from the field.

The Celtics really needed a big win to snap out of their funk and they got that last night against the Magic thanks to 10 3-pointers from Brown. The Grizzlies are coming into this one with a bit of momentum themselves as they just took down the Warriors on Saturday, but the Celtics are 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings overall and it really looks as though they’re just about to heat up. Give me the Celtics to stay hot with another win in this one.
