Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 35 points, 14 rebounds and four assists while Damian Lillard and Malik Beasley scored 20 points each, but no other player scored more than seven points. As a team, the Bucks shot 46 percent from the field and 14 of 39 from the 3-point line, but they were always fighting an uphill battle after getting outscored by 35-20 in the second quarter to trail by as many as 19 points. The bench was particularly disappointing for the Bucks as they combined for just 11 points, while Khris Middleton shot just three of 12 from the field and one of seven from the 3-point line to finish with just seven points.
Atlanta Hawks
Meanwhile, the Atlanta Hawks have been a team on the rise as they are now gunning for a fifth straight victory after outlasting the Celtics in a 123-122 overtime win on Thursday. Dejounte Murray led the way with 44 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, Bogdan Bogdanovic added 24 points with seven rebounds and five assists while De’Andre Hunter chipped in with 21 points and 13 rebounds. As a team, the Hawks shot 49 percent from the field and 15 of 44 from the 3-point line as they nailed a clutch 3-pointer at the end of regulation to send the game into overtime. Murray saved the day with the game-winner at the buzzer to stun the Celtics for the second time in a row.
Bucks vs Hawks prediction
The Bucks are going to be a little shorthanded for this one with Damian Lillard already ruled out due to personal reasons, while the Hawks are still without Trae Young, Onyeka Okongwu and AJ Griffin to name a few. The Bucks are getting desperate for a win to get them out of this funk that they’re in, but now they’re up against this streaky Hawks team, who have come to life with three impressive wins in a row. Two of those wins came against the red-hot Celtics. The Bucks still open as favorites in this one, and they really should win this game, but I get a feeling that the Hawks are going to hang around and keep this one close till the end.
