The Miami Heat invade the TD Garden to do battle with the Boston Celtics on Monday night.

The Miami Heat have been in great shape as they’ve won nine of their past 12 games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back after coming up short to the Raptors in a dramatic 124-120 triple-overtime loss on Saturday. Jimmy Butler led the way with a triple-double of 37 points with 14 rebounds and 10 assists, Gabe Vincent added 17 points while Bam Adebayo chipped in with 14 points, 16 rebounds and two blocks. As a team, the Heat shot just 40 percent from the field and 16 of 50 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Raptors in a close contest until the third overtime where the Raptors’ Fred VanVleet drained two clutch 3-pointers to snatch the game from them late. Duncan Robinson finished scoreless on zero of five shooting while Tyler Herro had a night to forget as he scored just 13 points on five of 22 shooting off the bench.

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics have been in decent form as they’ve won eight of their past 12 games overall and they will be looking to stay hot after beating the Pelicans in a 107-97 road win on Saturday. Jayson Tatum led the team with 38 points, eight rebounds and seven assists on 17 of 26 shooting, Jaylen Brown added 31 points on 11 of 20 shooting while Robert Williams tallied eight points with 16 rebounds, four assists and four blocks. As a team, the Celtics shot 53 percent from the field and 14 of 41 from the 3-point line as they took control of the game early and held the Pelicans to just 34 points in the first half to build an early 20-point lead which gave them plenty of cushion as the Pelicans rallied in the third quarter.

Looking at the betting trends, the Heat are 7-0 ATS in their last seven games following a loss, 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games overall. The Celtics are 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight home games against a team with a winning road record.

Head to head, the over is 6-2 in the last eight meetings overall and the Heat are 9-2 ATS in the last 11 meetings in Boston.

The Heat will again be without Kyle Lowry, Omer Yurtseven, Victor Oladipo and Markieff Morris while Jimmy Butler is listed as day to day. In contrast, the Celtics are just about at full strength except for Romeo Langford who is listed as questionable. The Heat have been in fine form, but their confidence took a bit of a hit after falling short in a dramatic triple-overtime loss on Saturday. The Celtics are coming into this one with plenty of momentum themselves and the combination of Tatum and Brown is really starting to pick up as they combined for 69 points in their last outing. The Heat deserve so much credit for how well they’ve been playing despite all their injuries, but I think it catches up to them in this one as the Celtics get the job done at home.
