The Houston Rockets and Brooklyn Nets meet Wednesday in NBA action at the Barclays Center.

The Houston Rockets need a win after losing 20 of their last 22 games. The Houston Rockets are averaging 107.3 points on 43.6 percent shooting and allowing 113.4 points on 46.7 percent shooting. Christian Wood is averaging 21.5 points and 9.8 rebounds while Kelly Olynyk is averaging 20.5 points and three assists. John Wall is the third double-digit scorer and Eric Gordon is grabbing 2.1 rebounds. The Houston Rockets are shooting 33 percent from beyond the arc and 74.6 percent from the free throw line. The Houston Rockets are allowing 37.1 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 42.4 rebounds per game.

The Brooklyn Nets look for a win after winning 10 of their last 12 games. The Brooklyn Nets are averaging 119.1 points on 49.5 percent shooting and allowing 114.9 points on 46.3 percent shooting. Kevin Durant is averaging 29 points and 5.3 assists while Kyrie Irving is averaging 28.1 points and 4.9 rebounds. James Harden is the third double-digit scorer and Joe Harris is dishing 1.7 assists. The Brooklyn Nets are shooting 39.2 percent from beyond the arc and 79.6 percent from the free throw line. The Brooklyn Nets are allowing 36.5 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 44.2 rebounds per game.

The Rockets are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 road games and 15-38 ATS in their last 53 games overall. The Nets are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 home games and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The under is 16-5 in Rockets last 21 Wednesday games. The under is 4-1 in Nets last 5 overall. The Rockets are 3-9 ATS in the last 12 meetings.

The Houston Rockets have played improved ball lately, but it’s still tough to ignore their struggles all season and the fact they’re 14-32 against the spread on the season. The Brooklyn Nets haven’t had much recent success covering numbers, but their larger sample size shows what they’re capable of and they beat these Rockets by 18 points earlier this month. I hate massive numbers, but backing the Rockets is not much of an option and hasn’t been one all season long. It’s Nets and the big number or pass for me.
