The Chicago Bulls and the Cleveland Cavaliers collide at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Saturday night.

The Chicago Bulls have been in rough shape as they’ve lost five of their last nine games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting routed by the Nets in a 116-105 road loss on Thursday. Zach LaVine led the team with 38 points on 16 of 25 shooting, Nikola Vucevic added 15 points with 17 rebounds while DeMar DeRozan chipped in with 14 points and six assists. As a team, the Bulls shot 46 percent from the field and just five of 26 from the 3-point line as they poured in 34 points in the third quarter to lead by 13 points, only to get completely blown out by 37-21 in the fourth quarter as they just had no answer for the Nets’ Spencer Dinwiddie late in the game.

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been in great form as they’ve won eight of their last 11 games overall and they will be looking to build on their current five-game win streak after taking down the Pelicans in a 118-107 road win last night. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 30 points, Evan Mobley added 28 points with 13 rebounds and two blocks while Jarrett Allen chipped in with 20 points, 11 rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 56 percent from the field and 10 of 28 from the 3-point line as they dominated right from the start and poured in 73 points in the first half to open a 25-point lead which allowed them to cruise in the second half and rest a couple starters early.

Looking at the betting trends, the Bulls are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games, 8-17 ATS in their last 25 games against a team above .600 and 9-4-1 ATS in their last 14 games against a team with a winning record. The Cavaliers are 4-1 ATS in their last five home games and 5-0 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record.

Head to head, the over is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings in Cleveland and the Bulls are 19-7 ATS in the last 26 meetings in Cleveland. The Bulls are still shorthanded as Lonzo Ball is still out, but they should have some reinforcements for this one as Patrick Williams, Alex Caruso and DeMar DeRozan are all listed as probable. The Bulls are struggling for consistency and they didn’t look good in last night’s loss to the Nets, so I’m more inclined to take the Cavaliers who have won five straight and they are also 5-0 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record. The Cavaliers are playing their second game of a back to back set, but I still think they get the job done at home.
