The New York Knicks have been doing it tough lately as they’ve lost seven of their last nine games overall and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after getting routed by the Warriors in a 110-99 loss on Thursday. Jalen Brunson led the team in scoring with 27 points and five assists on 11 of 25 shooting, Donte DiVincenzo added 16 points on six of 21 shooting off the bench while Josh Hart chipped in with 14 points, 18 rebounds and seven assists. As a team, the Knicks shot just 36 percent from the field and 12 of 39 from the 3-point line as they struggled to find their rhythm on offense and could never get in front after falling into an early 17-point deficit after scoring just 19 points in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers are starting to heat up again as they’ve won three of their past four games overall and they will be looking to keep it going after taking down the Pistons in a 110-100 road win on Friday. Darius Garland led the team with 29 points, five rebounds and four assists, Evan Mobley added 22 pointst with 17 rebounds and seven assists while Max Strus chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Cavaliers shot just 39 percent from the field and 18 of 41 from the 3-point line as they dominated right from the start and led by as many as 26 points in the third quarter before they took their foot off the gas in the fourth quarter to allow the Pistons to make things interesting at the end. The Cavs will play against the Celtics, Hawks, and Timberwolves after this game.

The Knicks are still shorthanded with Julius Randle and OG Anunoby still out, while the Cavaliers are keeping eyes on Donovan Mitchell and Caris LeVert who are both questionable for this one. This is definitely a game where you want to check the lineups before tipoff, but even if Mitchell isn’t able to suit up in this one, I’m still more comfortable going with the Cavaliers who are clearly the better team at the moment.
