Jalen Green led the team with 25 points on 10 of 18 shooting, Alperen Sengun added 21 points with 15 rebounds and eight assists while Fred VanVleet tallied 17 points with 11 assists. As a team, the Rockets shot 48 percent from the field and 12 of 29 from the 3-point line, but you can credit this win to their effort on defense as they held the Nuggets to just 19 points in the first quarter and just 17 points in the fourth.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks have been in a rut as they’ve lost four of their last six games overall and they will be hoping for a better performance after getting dismantled by the Clippers in a 107-88 road loss on Saturday. Luka Doncic led the team with 30 points, Kyrie Irving added 26 points on 11 of 22 shooting while Tim Hardaway Jr. chipped in with 14 points off the bench but no other player scored more than five points. As a team, the Mavericks shot just 37 percent from the field and nine of 38 from the 3-point line as their role players struggled from the start, scoring just 18 points in the first quarter, before things got really ugly in the third quarter where the Clippers really started to pull away.

The Rockets have been the surprise team of the league so far and they will be full of confidence following their dominant win over the Nuggets on Friday, while the Mavericks are struggling at the moment and just got blown out by the Clippers. I get why the Mavericks are favorites at home, but the Rockets represent decent value as underdogs here, so I’m taking the road team in this spot.
