The Brooklyn Nets have been in terrible shape as they’ve lost 14 of their last 16 games overall and they will be hoping to put an end to a six-game losing streak after falling just short to the Suns in a 106-102 road defeat on Tuesday. Michael Porter Jr led the team with 36 points on 15 of 24 shooting, Egor Demin added 15 points while Ziaire Williams and Cam Thomas each scored 11 points. As a team, the Nets shot 51 percent from the field and 13 of 32 from the 3-point line as they fought hard all game to take the lead after for trailing all of the second half, but they went ice-cold and scored just two points in the final 3:32 to allow the Suns off the hook.

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets have been in great shape as they’ve won eight of their last 12 games overall, but they are looking to bounce back in this one after falling painfully short to the Pistons in a 109-107 loss on Tuesday. Jamal Murray led the team with 24 points and 10 assists, Jonas Valanciunas and Bruce Brown each scored 16 points while Tim Hardaway Jr chipped in with 14 points off the bench. As a team, the Nuggets shot 48 percent from the field and 10 of 29 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start and scored just 18 points in the first quarter to fall behind by 18 points which is a real shame because the Nuggets caught fire in the second half and were able to cut the deficit to just one point with 56.9 seconds left on the clock before falling short.

The Nets are still missing Cam Thomas, Noah Clowney and Ziaire Williams to name a few, while the Nuggets have ruled out Aaron Gordon, Christian Braun and Nikola Jokic once again. The Nets have been the coldest team in the league, but to their credit, they were more than competitive in a close loss to the Suns in their last outing. In contrast, the Nuggets have been able to keep winning games despite missing so many key players to injury and they would’ve taken plenty of confidence from their loss to the Pistons as they would’ve won if they didn’t get off to such a slow start. The Nets could make this a contest if Porter Jr can have another big game, but I think the more likely outcome is that the Nuggets get off to a quick start and come away with the win and cover at home.
