The Memphis Grizzlies and Denver Nuggets meet Monday in the NBA action at the Ball Arena. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Grizzlies vs Nuggets prediction.

Memphis Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies have been in a real funk as they’ve lost six of their last eight games overall, but they will be feeling a little better after putting an end to a four-game slide in a 99-97 road win over the Spurs on Friday. Jaren Jackson Jr led the team with 28 points, seven rebounds and two blocks, Scottie Pippen Jr added 18 points off the bench while Santi Aldama chipped in with 15 points and 13 rebounds. As a team, the Grizzlies shot just 40 percent from the field and 12 of 34 from the 3-point line as they got off to a horror start and had to claw their way back from an early 17-point deficit, before they went on a decisive 14-6 in the fourth quarter to escape with the gritty win on the road.

Denver Nuggets

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets have been in terrific form as they’ve won 14 of their last 16 games overall and they will be gunning for a fourth straight win after outlasting the Trail Blazers in a 114-111 road win on Saturday. Reggie Jackson led the team with 23 points and five assists, Aaron Gordon added 22 points with 12 rebounds and five assists while Christian Braun chipped in with 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists off the bench. As a team, the Nuggets shot 45 percent from the field and eight of 24 from the 3-point line, but with Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray both sitting this one out, the Nuggets couldn’t get any separation from the Trail Blazers until they went on a decisive 9-2 run in the fourth quarter to escape and keep their win streak alive.

Denver Nuggets Team Facts

  • The Nuggets have won each of their last 12 home games against teams that held a losing record.
  • The home team has covered the spread in each of the last six games between the Grizzlies and Nuggets.
  • Seven of the Nuggets’ last eight games as favorites following a road win have gone UNDER the total points line.

Memphis Grizzlies Team Facts

  • The Grizzlies have lost each of their last 10 games against Western Conference opponents that held a winning record.
  • The Grizzlies have failed to cover the spread in each of their last seven road games against Northwest Division opponents following a win.
  • Eight of the Grizzlies’ last 10 road games have gone OVER the total points line.

Grizzlies vs Nuggets prediction

The Grizzlies are still severely depleted for this one with John Konchar, Luke Kennard and Desmond Bane all ruled out again, while the Nuggets have ruled out Zeke Nnaji and they have listed Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic as questionable once again. The Grizzlies were able to get back in the win column with a victory over the lowly Spurs in their last outing, but the Nuggets pose a much greater challenge even if their two best players aren’t able to suit up. Be sure to check the lineups before tipoff, but if the Nuggets are only missing one of their two stars, I’m willing to back them to win comfortably at home against this banged up Grizzlies squad with nothing to play for.
