The Miami Heat take a trip to the Ball Arena to take on the Denver Nuggets on Monday night.

The Miami Heat have been in great shape as they’ve won seven of their first nine games and they will be eager to stay hot after outlasting the Jazz in a 118-115 home win on Saturday. Tyler Herro led the team in scoring with 29 points on 11 of 18 shooting off the bench, Jimmy Butler added 27 points with six assists on 11 of 15 shooting, Kyle Lowry tallied a triple-double of 20 points with 12 rebounds and 10 assists while Bam Adebayo chipped in with 17 points and six assists. As a team, the Heat shot a sizzling 60 percent from the field and 11 of 21 from the 3-point line as they took control of the game early to build a 19-point lead which proved to be just enough in the end as the Jazz cut the lead to just one point with 11.5 seconds remaining.

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets have been in decent shape as they’ve won five of their first nine games overall and they will be hoping to build some momentum after sneaking past the Rockets in a 95-94 home win on Saturday. Nikola Jokic led the team with 28 points, 14 rebounds and two assists while Will Barton added 15 points with seven rebounds and six assists, but no other player finished in double figures. As a team, the Nugget shot just 40 percent from the field and nine of 40 from the 3-point line, but this win was all about their defense as they held the Rockets to just three points in the final 3:36 to escape with the narrow win as Jokic blocked the game-winning shot with 0.9 seconds remaining.

Looking at the betting trends, the Heat are 5-0 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record, 9-3 ATS in their last 12 road games and 6-1 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Nuggets are 1-5 ATS in their last six home games, 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a winning record and 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games overall.

Head to head, the under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings in Denver, the Heat are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings overall and the Heat are 5-11 ATS in the last 16 meetings in Denver.

The Heat have been one of the form teams of the league from opening night and their confidence must be high after taking down the red-hot Jazz in their last outing. The Nuggets lost two in a row before their unconvincing win over the slumping Rockets, so it’s hard to know what you’re going to get from them in this one. This would be a great matchup if the Nuggets were at full strength, but the Heat are 5-0 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and I think that trend continues here as the Heat escape with the narrow win.
